Sponsors and Entry Winners Announced

The GreenOvation Mobile Application Competition to Support MSMEs Green Initiatives has announced the co-sponsors and winning entries.

The official supporters of the three-round event are: Idea Space, PLDT, GoNegosyo, Peace and Equity Foundation, DENR Environment Management Services, Development Bank of the Philippines Katalyst, Rake.tph, Impacthu.bph, and Katalys.tph.

Thirty four teams joined the competition’s pre-selection which ended on August 15. The GreenOvation judges selected 23 winners who will compete in the next three rounds. Each entry’s profile can be found on the GreenOvation site ((

The three rounds will consist of systematic steps needed to build the mobile APPs. Round 1: Business Model will be held on 29 August in DENR Social Hall (ten teams will be selected), Round 2: Prototyping and Market fitness on 12 September in another DENR building (five teams will be selected) and Round 3: APP Coding and Programming on 3 October in the DTI-GIZ office in Makati for the selection of the final winner.

  1. The workshop was refreshing and feedback was extremely constructive.
    But I was surprised that it was a day-long event. Could use more heads up in the future so we don’t schedule meetings in conflict with the event.
